Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Story behind the song
A largely improvised piece that I might use as a sketch for something else later. Or I might just leave it as it is. Let me know what you think. This sort of stuff is quite new for me and it's probably not thrash punk rock, as far as I can tell.

Hi Steve, Thanks for stopping by on my page. this has a unique quality. Spacious indeed as the piano draws you into the bigger picture. Love the flute. Nice job! Take Care Andy :) PS Clever anagram of your name!!

This could be the "incidental music" to a costume drama or a mystical/fairy tale movie - very visual and paints many pictures.

Hi Steve, Lovely work, :) :) :) Love how the melody progresses and the layering builds, and falls away, magnificant ! This is truly beautiful, I wouldn't change a thing...Love it !! Wishing you a fabby week ahead, Kristy

Excellent introspective and emotive piano piece, loved the way the silence intersects. Dramatic string section on 2nd half, then the clarinet solo. Fantastic arrangement, only a great musician can do. Congratulations.

Splendid arrangement and love the 'space' instead of too many notes. At 1:47 when the strings start, I'm really hooked. Very nice indeed!!!

love the sparse arrangement Steve, gives it a air meloncholy, then the strings hit and top it off.. I'd leave it ;)
