Story behind the song
The fifth and final track for "Depression: The Beat Tape by MonkeySniper". The closer. A very interesting track, which is what I think I say for every track. This track was a track which was started in August, scrapped in September, and then finished for this project. Meant to catch a much darker tone, 20 Lbs. is supposed to project depression in full form, no restrictions. This song actually used to scare me, I would listen to it and be scared by the fact that I could create a song so dark. The title "20 Lbs." is meant to signify the extra weight you feel like you carry when you are depressed, how much harder it is to do stuff. Overall, a nice closer to the project. The ending to "Depression II" will be a much more interesting ending, the ending to "Depression" is from the perspective of me 3 years ago, while the ending to "Depression II" will be from the perspective of me now. I will not spoil it, but it will be very interesting, and I hope you are there to enjoy it :)
