Story behind the song
The fourth track in "Depression: A Beat Tape by MonkeySniper". This is the follow-up to New Flipside. The melody of this track was created in August, but was scrapped. This song is supposed to be mystical, foreboding, somewhat inviting but somewhat off-putting. The title "Mirage" is supposed to imply the mirage which separates people from reality, like drama news and celebrity gossip. It is also supposed to imply the mirage that blinds people from the realities of life, like the violence of war. If you feel like the song makes you feel like you are on a different planet, then it has succeeded, as the song is supposed to feel like you have discovered a new world, but the new world is the world you have been on all along.
