A song written after I played a nursing home and watch a husband and wife seem to connected again over a song that was played. Still a Work In Progress

Lyrics
Verse 1; He guided her in, Sat beside her and then Got her comfortable Not a word did they say, Though he looked her way Through most of the our show Pre Chorus; Then a song I started playing, She reached for his hand Their arms started swaying, To the sound of the band Chorus; And they danced in her mind, To the rhythm and rhyme, And the beat of an old Country song Oh the sweet melody, Can reach memories, Of a time that now is long gone Verse 2; I could see from the side, The look in his eyes A love of many years On her face a sweet smile, I won't forget for a while Almost brought me to tears Pre Chorus As the song I kept singing They held on so tight And it got me thinking Here is a love they’ve done right Chorus; And they danced in her mind, To the rhythm and rhyme, And the beat of an old Country song Oh the sweet melody, Can reach memories, Of a time that now is long gone Bridge; And as we struck the last chord He left with his wife I said “thank you Lord” “For the music in my life” Chorus; And they danced in her mind, To the rhythm and rhyme, And the beat of an old Country song Oh the sweet melody, Can reach memories, Of a time that now is long gone

Your song is very nice. I volunteer for doing activities in nursing homes with Alzheimer's residents , and you've captured beautifully something they are often able to enjoy even as their disease keeps getting worse. Thanks!
