Schumacher's progressive music styles - Progressive, Celtic, Acoustic.
Schumacher's music embraces a wide range of musical styles - a true blend of Progressive Rock, Celtic, and classical music arrangements. We try to make people feel, to capture and reflect emotion, and help others as their lives are touched by both good and bad. Our success is not our sales, but the comments listeners leave about how a song touched their hearts. Check out "The Snake in the Grass" or "The Buffalo Dance" for a snapshot of the band's acoustic-progressive work.

Story behind the song
Basically a continuation of the Virtue of the Wicked story of the same album. Some of the political masterminds of our times appear like boys in a sandbox to me. Lyrics explain why.
Lyrics
Boys in the sandbox are setting up toy blocks, proving the essence of Freudian logic around, around. redrawing the borders of imaginary countries dividing and conquering their toy soldiers guarding the ground. And when I woke up I saw, those boys all grown up being shipped off to the war, ideologies while changed yet the same, but toys don't bleed and this ain't a game. Boys in the sandbox one day will rule countries determine the fate of millions of innocent lives, lives. And today's quarters turn to capital budgets those bullets are real, no continue button in sight, in sight. And when I woke up I saw, those boys all grown up being shipped off to the war, ideologies while changed yet the same, but toys dont bleed and this aint a game. Boys in the sandbox getting ready for standoff, targeting sandcastles with nuclear missiles in mind, in mind. Dealing and wheeling, smiling and squealing, kicking the dirt that had fallen on those left behind. Is this what you thought when you sat on your dad's lap to spend the rest of your live in a hospital bed? Dad, can we jump from that high? Mother, do you think that we'll ride the sky? I wish we'd always be same, are you ready, let's restart the game. Boys in the sandbox so ready to show off, mine is much bigger, bragging and boast by the pound. No guts, no glory and if it gets gory, we'll manipulate the truth the buzzwords will calm down the crowd, the crowd. Dad, can we jump from that high? Mother, do you think that we'll ride the sky? One day they 'll be showering me with fame, but for now, let's restart the game. And when I woke up I saw, those boys all grown up being shipped off to the war, ideologies while changed yet the same, but toys dont bleed and this aint a game.

Synthwork is really cool, especially the arps. Got some Pink Floyd Vibe to it, which I like (especially in the solo, great sound btw). The fast sung lyrics are what really make the verse interesting. First I wanted to say that something doesn't seem to work, but it's just odd (in a postive sense) but it actually works and is *very* memorable. But there seems something wrong with the first echo at about 4:00. At the end the drums seem to be off (rhythmically) a litte. If live drums, perhaps slip edit if, if VSTi/Samples, quantize a bit? Again, the voice is great, so are the accoustic patterns and the solo. Regards, Sebastian
