Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This is a song that I wrote way back in 1981 when I was in an 'Indie Pop group called, Dolce Vita. I recently came across the lyrics only a couple weeks ago and decided there and then that I must record it and bring it into the 21st century. The song was worked on only a few times during our band rehearsal sessions at the time, but was never fully arranged and was never played 'Live', on a gig. There isn't an actual, big guitar solo in this, but there are tasty guitar 'flourishes' at certain points throughout it. Hope you can imagine what our band was like from this recording. We were tight and pretty damn good ... but hey, I'm obviously very biased, so I'm bound to say that ! :)
Lyrics
Waiting For A sign Of Life ( A Strange Situation) It's a strange situation, born out of frustration. but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... The train pulls in the station, a different situation, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life I've made my preparations, to reach my destination, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... The train leaves the station, shattered expectations, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... I walk out of the station, with a look of desperation, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... I don't need this sadness, it could lead to madness, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... short guitar break but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... It's a strange situation, born out of frustration. but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... fade out chorused guitar

great early track David, so cool and very brit pop to these ears (dig the melody, vocals and refrain really works so well! guitar's a feature throughout!) Cool of you to revisit one of your earliest tracks which has great deal of meaning to you and your past band and bring it into the 21st century! Well done! 1981, ahh what a cool and unstressed time and as have said before if there was a portal I'd be stepping through it, lol! Great piece, great work!!
