Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Boss guitar and string arrangement Steve, Killer solo's, and just an all round well done for a great song. Mrs Smith must be quite a person :)

I remember all those things too...am I really that old? :) Anyway, a brilliant song...just beautiful! Socially aware, yet very nostalgically romantic. Love it!!

Firstly Steve; I was there too. Maggie, Reagan strikes etc.. imagine a time before mobile phone and DAW's. However did we survive ?.
Builds up so well. The cymbal crashes bring to mind the crashing of waves. Fabulous 1st. guitar solo. Your lyrics are the thing though. Heartfelt and powerful. Like It's already been said, you've managed to include social comment into a love song . . .brilliant. Yes, the 'key change' followed by such a great guitar solo is always a nice touch that 'lifts' a song and leaves a warm glow. Bloody fantastic Steve.

Great songwriting, Majestic Guitar, and Inspired Lyrics. I like the way it starts out all homey & comfortable like an old rocking chair with cushions and pillows and slowly transforms into something ideal and mythical. And that key change just pushes it even further.

Excellent lyrics, only you could fuse a social statement with a love song...creatively brilliant and superbly executed - love the way the music depicts the crashing sea.

This great song is a perfect balance to your other wonderful song for the CBC Valentine's Fest on 2/12/11. This tune also
showcases the range of your musical/composition abilities from vocal to instrumental to mood. This one is also REALLY
EXCELLENT, Steve. And, also, thank you for the dl to our JBBQ
Music Player!

'builds like a storm' being what I'm noticing the
most on this exquisite composition, but it's all
great and you never dissapoint, Steve!

Every song turns out so special. I'm always amazed with your composing abilities. Sea Bride has this celtic pop feel. Intense instrumental base and outstanding vocals. Amazing guitar solo !
Top of the tops !
