Huckleberry has an intense taste of blueberry but much, much sweeter. I applied it to the analogy of how Jesus sweetens the soul of the believer.
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalms 34:8
Huckleberry Soul
Ch:
Huckleberry soul, huckleberry soul
Sweetest thing you'll ever know
The fruit's on the vine, Vinedresser's mine
Jesus loves a huckleberry soul
I remember the days before I was saved
There was dark and gloom, nothing grew
The garden of my heart was a land laid waste
When Jesus came, planted His Truth
Ch: repeat
He gives sunshine by way of His light
And the waters of His love are true
There's nothing in the whole wide world to compare
To the taste of huckleberry in bloom
Instrumental
Br:
Taste of the Lord, see that He's good.
How blessed to be sweet and free once you've understood
Ch: repeat 2X
